The provincial institution is advancing its objective of expanding the supply of protected rental housing with this initiative. The president of the Council, Salvador Fuentes, accompanied by the delegate for Presidency, Marta Siles, and municipal mayors, signed the public deed formalizing these cessions.
Fuentes emphasized that this signature is an essential step for the Council to continue promoting new protected housing developments in the signatory municipalities, collaborating with them to make public land available for a housing policy aimed at increasing the supply.
The new homes will be distributed as follows: three in Aguilar de la Frontera; three in Dos Torres; one in El Viso; three in Fuente Carreteros; three in Fuente Palmera; seven in Hornachuelos; five in Iznájar; four in La Carlota; and six in Posadas.
These actions are part of the Investment Program for the Promotion of Protected Rental Housing 2023-2026, an initiative endowed with 5.5 million euros that plans to build 46 homes in a total of eleven towns in the province.
The provincial president highlighted the importance of these actions in retaining the population in rural areas and facilitating access to affordable housing. With this signature, cooperation with the towns is reinforced, and progress is made on a provincial strategy to create a protected housing stock that meets residential needs.
