The new facility, spanning 1,200 square meters across two floors, will house offices, vehicle hangars, workshops, and rest areas, all equipped to provide an effective in-house fire extinction service.
Mayor José Francisco Garrido highlighted during the inaugural ceremony that the infrastructure fulfills a commitment and marks the beginning of a service "that will protect present and future lives," making Níjar a "stronger, more prepared, and safer" municipality.
This opening is part of the Government team's focus on security, complementing measures such as increasing Local Police personnel, creating specialized patrols, and renewing emergency vehicle fleets.
The President of the Provincial Council, José Antonio García Alcaina, described the inauguration as a "historic milestone" addressing a social demand since 2003, emphasizing the importance of institutional collaboration to "shield" the safety of the tourism sector and residents in the region.
