Around 20 calls to the 112 emergency service alerted about the fire, which started around 12:45 PM. The flames and smoke also affected a nearby gym, Platinum, and a brewery. The smoke column was visible from various parts of the province, including the capital, causing concern among residents near the area.
The 112 service confirmed that, initially, there were no reports of injuries. Firefighters, police, and paramedics were deployed to cordon off the area and manage the situation. The causes of the fire are still unknown.

Due to the circumstances, the Huércal de Almería City Council has decided to suspend the activities planned for this afternoon in the Plaza de las Mascaranas and the Football Field for safety reasons.
