The University of Almería (UAL) has published the official call for proposals for the selection of courses that will make up the 28th edition of its Summer Courses. This program, aimed at being an essential forum for knowledge transmission, debate, and the institution's external projection, now opens the application period for the university community and interested professionals to submit their proposals via the institution's website.
Driven by the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and Society, this edition will take place from June 28 to July 23, 2027. Among the new features, the number of official venues will be limited to a maximum of 6, integrating permanent venues such as Roquetas de Mar, Almería (including the capital, the university campus, and Calar Alto), and Tíjola-Purchena, along with other collaborating towns. Unlike previous editions, courses can be scheduled during the first week in both Roquetas de Mar and Almería.
To meet current training demands, directors can focus their proposals on four different modalities: theoretical-practical course (3 days), debate forum (3 to 4 days), workshop (3 to 5 days) focused on applied teaching and professional development, and a leaders' forum (1 day) featuring internationally recognized figures in their respective sectors.
The deadline for submitting applications for the UAL's PDI, associate professors, and authorized personnel will be 3:00 PM on January 19, 2027. Proposals must be completed electronically through the university's electronic administration procedures catalog. After the selection and evaluation process by the relevant commission, the final list of approved courses will be published in spring, at which point general enrollment will open for any citizen over 16 years of age, with interesting discounts for early registration and groups until May 31, 2027.
Detailed information on the bases, forms, and evaluation criteria can be found on the vice-rectorate's official website: www.ual.es/cursosdeverano.
