The events occurred around 8:45 AM when a citizen's call alerted the 092 emergency number about a driver who nearly hit several people after running a red light in the Parque de las Ciencias area. A patrol located the suspect, who, upon seeing the police, sped away.
During the pursuit, the individual drove recklessly through main streets such as Avenida de la Constitución, Gran Vía, and Plaza Nueva. The Granada Local Police stated that the driver "seriously endangered pedestrians and drivers, forcing several people to move aside to avoid being hit or colliding."
The chase ended abruptly on Carrera del Darro, where the vehicle lost control and crashed. Despite the accident, the man attempted to continue his escape on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers.

After the arrest, officers discovered that the driver had his underage son in the car throughout the dangerous incident.
