The Security Delegation of the City Council has issued a very positive assessment of the recent Fair, highlighting the high police presence, close coordination between the Local Police and the National Police, and the exemplary behavior of the citizens. According to delegate Rosario Delgado, it was "probably the best year so far in terms of incidents," despite the Fair receiving 15,000 more visitors than the previous year.
The coordination among the different security forces "functioned with complete precision," ensuring attendee safety, traffic flow, neighborhood tranquility, and the prevention of uncivil behaviors such as public drinking or vehicle damage. Rosario Delgado described the number of incidents as "insignificant," especially considering the increase in attendance.
The delegate thanked the citizens for their cooperation and the public employees for their commitment. She also praised the work of the Civil Protection Volunteers Group, whose members from various towns including Puebla de Cazalla, Fuentes de Andalucía, Lora del Río, Carmona, Mairena del Alcor, and Burguillos worked in shifts.
The Firefighters' deployment was expanded this year with eight on-site personnel and three on-call, ensuring a permanent standby unit at the fairgrounds and enabling double dispatches from the station. The addition of seven full-time firefighters in January enhanced operational capacity, responding to up to eight simultaneous calls on the busiest day and a house fire.
The Local Police handled approximately 150 services, with an average of ten officers per shift during peak attendance days. A new initiative this year included joint patrols with the National Police, and increased police presence in surrounding areas to prevent uncivil behavior.
The National Police deployment featured an aerial unit and personnel from the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR) during the busiest nights. The Cavalry Unit also participated, along with, for the first time, the unit attached to the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, which monitored alcohol sales and consumption by minors.
