The decision, unanimously adopted by the Municipal Information Commission of Culture and two members of the Baza Photography Collective (COBAF), awarded the works in the categories of 'Cascamorras', 'Feria de Baza', and 'Virgen de la Piedad'.
In the 'Cascamorras' section, the first prize went to José Quílez for 'Bandera, bandera, bandera'. The second prize was awarded to Guadalupe Sánchez for 'Cuando todos somos uno', and the third to Fernando Rodríguez for 'Sudor, pintura y Alama de Baza'.
The 'Feria de Baza' section was won by Manuel Hernández with 'Pasar una Feria por todo lo alto'. María Gallardo received the second prize for 'Reencuentros en la Feria', and Guadalupe Sánchez the third for 'Órbita de luces'.
Finally, in the 'Virgen de la Piedad' section, the first prize was taken by José Carrión for 'Virgen de la Piedad, Alcaldesa Perpetua'. The second prize went to Fernando Rodríguez for 'Devoción de Cascamorras a la Stma. Virgen de la Piedad', and the third to María Gallardo for '¡Patrona de Baza!'.
The cash prize amounts are 200 euros for the first place, 150 for the second, and 50 for the third in each section.
All works submitted to the contest will be part of an exhibition that can be visited from September 1 to 15 in the courtyard of the Municipal Museum. The award ceremony will take place during the inauguration of this exhibition.
