After a year of effort and a heart-stopping morning, Dólmenes Antequera has reclaimed its place in the División de Honor Plata. The 31-21 victory against Torrelavega's reserve team was decisive, although the team had to endure and await the results of other matches to confirm their promotion.
The decisive match began at 10:00 AM, with the team displaying great determination. The coach's strategy was key, implementing a masterful tactical plan that surprised the Cantabrians. A stellar player led the attack, igniting the game from the first minutes with a 1-4 partial score by the 5th minute.
The lead quickly extended to 2-6 by the 10th minute, allowing the coach to make rotations and keep the team fresh. The defense was aggressive, and the goalkeeper remained solid, culminating in a perfect first half with a commanding 6-16 at halftime.
In the second half, Antequera maintained its overwhelming pace, with the same key player scoring and assisting. Despite some incidents, such as a temporary expulsion, the team did not lose control, and the lead grew even larger, reaching 14-26 by the 50th minute. The final score of 21-31 sealed the victory and a favorable goal average that guaranteed their promotion.
“"We had to suffer, win, and wait. But… what would a promotion be without that touch of agony?"
