One season after their relegation, BM Los Dólmenes Antequera has achieved its goal of returning to the División de Honor Plata. The promotion was sealed after an excellent weekend at the Pabellón Ciudad de Elda – Florentino Ibáñez, where the team displayed strong unity and potential, solidifying their comeback to the second tier of national handball.

The Antequera squad began its promotion journey by facing the host team, whom they defeated 28-30. Subsequently, they drew with Granollers' reserve team with a score of 27-27. The decisive victory came in the final match against Torrelavega, with a resounding 21-31, which allowed them to emerge as winners of Group II of the promotion phase with five points, 88 goals scored, and 76 conceded.

The first match against the local team was challenging, with the home crowd's support, although there was also a significant turnout of Antequera fans. The team, led by their coach, had to maintain patience and, as the minutes passed, impose their offensive play and strengthen their defense. Despite the opponent's competitiveness, BM Los Dólmenes Antequera knew how to endure and showed their competitive spirit to secure the victory.

In the second match, equality was the prevailing theme. Granollers' reserve team, a fast and dynamic opponent, put the Antequera team in trouble. Although BM Los Dólmenes Antequera went into halftime with a two-goal lead (13-11), the Catalan team pressed harder in the second half. The match ended in a 27-27 draw, with a shot hitting the post from the Catalan team in the final seconds that could have changed everything.

The culmination of the promotion phase took place on the morning of Sunday, May 10. BM Los Dólmenes Antequera needed to defeat Bathco BM Torrelavega, preferably by a significant margin. The team went all out from the start, controlling the opponent's most decisive player and demonstrating great effectiveness in attack. With a halftime score of 6-16 and a lead that reached 12-13 goals, the match concluded with a 21-31 victory for the Antequera team, thus securing their promotion.
