The immunization campaign, developed in collaboration with the Alhama de Granada Health Center, covered vaccination against influenza and COVID-19, as well as against pneumococcus for cases indicated by established health criteria.
In total, 45 users and 20 workers participated in this preventive initiative. The day involved the nursing team from the residence, Jose Antonio Ferrándiz Bonilla and Ana Martínez, along with Rocío López Pérez, the referring nurse for the SAS in the area.
Vaccination is considered a fundamental measure to safeguard the health of the elderly, a group particularly vulnerable to complications from respiratory infections. The involvement of staff also strengthens prevention measures within the center, creating a safer environment.
This action is part of the residence's ongoing commitment to comprehensive, person-centered care, prioritizing disease prevention, health monitoring, and coordination with public health services.
The center's management highlighted the importance of collaboration between the nursing professionals and the Andalusian Health Service (SAS), reaffirming its commitment to the health, safety, and quality of life of its residents.
