The work involved installing a new pumping network to raise water from the existing well to the reservoir, and a new distribution network from the reservoir. New polyethylene pipes, inspection chambers, connections, and valves have been installed, with the route adapted to minimize impact on agricultural land.
This intervention improves the reliability of the supply infrastructure, ensuring a safer and more continuous water supply for the residents of San Pablo de Buceite.
The project is part of a collaboration agreement for investment financing, regulated by Royal Decree 998/2024. This agreement allocates a subsidy of 460,000 euros to the Mancomunidad de Municipios del Campo de Gibraltar for water cycle and waste management infrastructure.
Within the same agreement, the acquisition of a dual biogas/diesel container washing truck for 405,900 euros is planned, to enhance the maintenance and cleaning of containers in the municipality.
