The Delegation for Strategic Projects and External Financing of the San Roque City Council has highlighted the acquisition of 15,179,917.56 euros in subsidies over its first three years of activity. The department, led by councilor Alfonso Valdivia, has focused on identifying, preparing, and processing aid from various public administrations, including regional, state, and European bodies, to finance key projects for the municipality.
The most significant subsidy to date amounts to nearly 9 million euros, allocated to the Estación 2030 project. These funds, from the European Union's EDIL programs, will drive a profound transformation of the San Roque Station through urban, social, and environmental regeneration initiatives.
Within this project, the rehabilitation and commissioning of the old Argenpunt building are planned, which is set to become the central hub for revitalizing the neighborhood, improving its infrastructure, and renewing its public spaces.
The city council emphasizes that the creation of this delegation has strengthened the municipality's capacity to access competitive financing, enabling the execution of projects that would be difficult to undertake solely with its own resources.
The acquisition of over 15 million euros in just three years solidifies this municipal area as a fundamental tool for obtaining external resources, aimed at the economic, social, and urban development of San Roque.
