The entertainment platform Movistar Plus has reaffirmed its commitment to the Primera Federación, the third tier of Spanish football, by renewing its broadcast agreement for the 2026/27 season. This renewal will allow fans to closely follow the competition, which includes teams like Algeciras CF.
According to the issued statement, Movistar Plus will offer a total of ten featured matches from each matchday live. Additionally, the remaining games of the category will be available on the platform's linear channel, allowing for deferred viewing. The full season can be followed on dial 53.
This continuity follows the recent announcement of DAZN joining the coverage of the Primera Federación, thus consolidating options for fans of the league. Movistar Plus highlighted that this investment in national football strengthens its position in sports entertainment, including historic clubs with significant followings.
The platform stated that the 2026/27 season will bring together teams with large fan bases and sporting appeal, mentioning clubs such as Real Zaragoza, Real Murcia, SD Huesca, Hércules CF, Mirandés, CD Extremadura, UD Ibiza-Eivissa, AD Alcorcón, Gimnàstic de Tarragona, as well as top-tier reserve teams like Real Madrid Castilla, Atlético Madrileño, Villarreal B, Bilbao Athletic, and RD Deportivo, all vying for promotion to LaLiga Hypermotion.
Movistar Plus also detailed its football offering, which includes the UEFA Super Cup, one match per jornada of LaLiga EA Sports, the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League, the UEFA Europa League, and the Copa del Rey Mapfre, in addition to international matches and the complete LaLiga Hypermotion, for 9.99 euros. The Fútbol Total package expands access to competitions such as the 2026 World Cup, Serie A, Bundesliga, Argentine League, Brasileirao, Copa Sudamericana, and Copa Libertadores.
