The mayor of La Línea de la Concepción, Juan Franco, presided over the signing of the agreement, highlighting the municipal commitment to culture and education. The mayor emphasized the importance of the Permanent Training Classroom as an instrument for academic and social formation, thanking the involvement of UNED.
To date, ten editions of this program have been offered in the town, establishing it as a benchmark citizen initiative. Juan Franco is confident that the future expansion of educational offerings, linked to the works at the Ballesteros building, can be increased in the future. He also thanked Rocio Ruiz for her role as liaison for university-related matters.
For her part, the director of the Associated Center Uned Campo de Gibraltar, Rosario Arias de Molina, thanked the City Council for its collaboration and its annual responsiveness to any requests.
The delegate councilor for Education, Santos Martín, highlighted the students' involvement and expressed her hope that the initiative will continue for many more years and can be expanded with the incorporation of new spaces following the reform of the Ballesteros building.
