The celebration in honor of San Isidro Labrador is a fundamental pillar of Los Barrios' identity. The organizers have worked to make the fair accessible and inclusive, implementing initiatives such as noise-free hours, preferential passes for children with special needs, and nearby parking for people with reduced mobility.
Among the most notable innovations for the 2026 edition is the return of the coronation to the Paseo de la Constitución, a popular request from residents. Additionally, the coronation and the parade will be held on separate days to allow for greater enjoyment of both events, with the former concluding with a concert by Raya Real. Fireworks will also return to close the fair on Sunday, May 17.
“"We try to make a fair for everyone, for our young people, by setting up an open, free, and bar-free tent; for our elderly, who have their senior lunch; and for bullfighting enthusiasts."
The economic impact of the fair is considerable for Los Barrios and the surrounding region, attracting visitors who boost hotels, bars, and restaurants. The fair is experienced intensely during the day, which drives the local gastronomic offerings.
Safety is a priority, with a security system that includes the installation of cameras throughout the venue, a successful measure implemented the previous year. The city council is working on the renovation and adaptation of the fairgrounds, having already introduced new flooring for the booths with renovated facilities.
