Founded in 2022, Stemdo has developed a business model that allows young individuals to access intensive tech training without upfront costs. Upon completing their education, trainees join the startup to work on real client projects for companies such as NTT DATA, Deloitte, and Banco Santander.

The company, a recent winner of the Future of Work & Talent vertical at South Summit Madrid, was co-founded by Alfredo Montilla, a computer engineer with prior experience at NASA and McKinsey, alongside Nicolás Porras (operations), Seddik Mahmah (technology), and Nora Sarroca (human resources).

Stemdo operates through physical 'cells' or hubs in medium-sized cities to train and employ tech talent, addressing the territorial employment gap. Its current locations include Huelva, Mérida, Talavera de la Reina, and Córdoba, where it has generated over 150 jobs. The company expects to open new sites in Melilla and abroad before the end of the year.

The business model relies on intensive training, immediate employment, and two years of professional support, specializing in areas like cloud, data & AI, cybersecurity, and hyper-automation. Stemdo offers services through 'Talent-as-a-Service' and 'Talent Builder', catering to the needs of large tech corporations, consultancies, and companies undertaking digital transformation projects.
