The artwork selected by the jury, 'The Potter's Window', is a creation by María de los Ángeles Rojas Quintela, an artist from Córdoba with strong ties to La Rambla. A graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Seville and a Drawing professor, Rojas was born in Córdoba in 1989 and has a notable career linked to historical-artistic heritage, including conservation and restoration work on important altarpieces and the Roman Temple of Córdoba.
Currently, the author balances her teaching role with her ongoing dedication to drawing and painting. Her personal connection to La Rambla, since childhood, has been key to the poster's concept, aiming to pay homage to the municipality's essence. The work represents the town's pottery tradition, placing the viewer inside a pottery workshop where an artisan shapes clay on a wheel.
Through a window in the workshop, a glimpse of La Rambla's festive atmosphere is revealed, with the figure of San Lorenzo, the patron saint of the festivities, as the central axis. The composition is enriched with iconic elements such as the City Hall, the Plaza de la Constitución, the equestrian tradition, and women dressed in flamenco attire, reflecting the town's cultural, heritage, and festive richness.
The La Rambla City Council has congratulated María de los Ángeles Rojas Quintela on this recognition and thanked all the participants for their contributions, further enhancing the municipality's cultural and festive heritage.
The jury, composed of Juan Sánchez de Puerta Cantabrana (painter), Jesús Lozano (neurosurgeon and art enthusiast), Carlos Begara (art collector and gallerist), and Rafael Fernández Calleja (printer and layout designer), was acknowledged for their prestige and experience in the artistic and graphic fields.
