The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning and involved Firefighters from Arahal and Marchena, the Local Police, and the Civil Guard. The family residing in the house where the fire began had to be evacuated by jumping from one rooftop to another on police instructions due to the intense smoke, and later received medical attention.
The fire also impacted several vehicles, as the basements of the homes are connected to the urbanization's parking areas. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
Due to the smoke, which spread to affect over 50 homes, the mayor of Arahal, Paco Brenes, who was present at the scene, offered affected residents temporary accommodation in a training center with 40 beds or in local inns to spend the night.
