The race, which will start at 8:00 PM from the sports city stadium of Bahía Sur, will cover 10 kilometers, alternating urban areas and military terrain. More than a thousand athletes are expected to participate, along with a large crowd cheering along the route.
In anticipation of this event, the San Fernando City Council has organized a special traffic and security operation. A total of 26 Local Police officers will oversee the event. From 7:55 PM, traffic will be restricted on streets affected by the route and its intersections, and some roads will be temporarily closed to ensure the safety of runners and attendees.
Parking restrictions will also be implemented in the preferred area of the stadium and the exterior of the blue parking lot of Bahía Sur, on Albina del Puente street, in the central area of Cayetano Roldán avenue, and on Arenal street, where the finish line will be located. The latter will be closed from 7:00 PM for event setup.
To facilitate citizen mobility, the exit from the Bahía Sur shopping center via Ferrocarril street will remain operational in both directions. An exit will be provided via the Puente de la Casería towards Pery Junquera avenue. It is recommended to use the southern exit via La Ardila to leave the municipality and the southern and northern accesses to enter.
For urgent trips to San Carlos Hospital, it is advised to use the access via the Víctimas del Terrorismo roundabout. Although access to Bahía Sur from the CA-33 will remain open, punctual traffic jams may occur.
The City Council recommends that citizens plan their journeys and follow the instructions of the Local Police, Civil Protection, and the event organizers. They express gratitude for the cooperation regarding any potential inconvenconveniences caused by this sporting event that promotes the values of sport and healthy living.
