The Councilor for Festivities, José Domingo Castro, has presented the Jubilee 2026, which will take place on July 31st starting at 9:30 PM in Baena's Plaza Francisco Valverde (Plaza Vieja). Castro highlighted his department's work to "manage and revitalize one of Baena's oldest and most beloved festivals, returning it, as was done two years ago, to its birthplace."
The councilor also announced that the next goal will be to extend the celebration to two days or the entire weekend, stating, "we are working to make it happen." This year, the Jubilee promises to be "unique, an unforgettable celebration for all the residents and visitors who join us, with a series of activities designed for all ages."
Scheduled activities include bouncy castles, entertainment, a special recognition for the elderly, an artisan product market, and raffles. For the second consecutive year, the popular tombola managed by the Brotherhood of the Virgen de los Santos will be revived.
The event will also feature a musical performance by the cover band "12 Pulgadas," who will play live music from the 80s and 90s. Meanwhile, José Manuel Córdoba, in charge of the bar, encouraged participation, assuring that the bar will offer "popular prices."
