The President of the Andalusian Parliament, Ana Mestre, paid an institutional visit to the Ubrique City Council this Friday. She was welcomed by the mayor, José Mario Casillas, accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation. Following the official greeting, Mestre signed the town's Book of Honor.
José Mario Casillas highlighted the importance of the visit, describing Ana Mestre as a president with values of "honesty and sacrifice." He emphasized her "essential work" and the "pride" in receiving her, stating that her "luck will be that of all of us here" and wishing her success.
For her part, Ana Mestre stressed the greater responsibility that comes with knowing the territory and the people who lead this "wonderful municipality." She emphasized her commitment to Ubrique, its aspirations, and those of its region, describing the town as "hardened in values," which has made "tradition a driver of the future and growth," and that "they have given their all for it."
Mestre also praised Ubrique's way of presenting itself to the world "with a firm step" and "the capacity to aspire to more in the leather industry." Addressing the people of Ubrique, she expressed her "recognition and admiration" for what they offer the province and thanked the government team "for what you give us, offer us, and how you present us to the entire world, to Andalusians and Spaniards."
