The 061 helicopter, based at the Jerez University Hospital helipad, has incorporated red blood cell concentrates. This measure allows for earlier treatment of patients with severe hemorrhages and life-threatening conditions.
The initiative is part of the Transfusion of Blood Components in Pre-hospital Emergencies procedure, known as the TREX project, which now concludes its implementation in the province of Cadiz following the inclusion of these components.
