In its response, the Cadiz club accuses Pina of "manipulation of reality and dissemination of biased information" and of maintaining a "strategy based on permanent confrontation and the attempt to generate instability." The statement recalls Pina's "long history of judicial and corporate conflicts" in football and the "enormous reputational damage" Cádiz CF suffered in the past, alluding to his arrest and imprisonment.
The text also mentions a previous judicial ruling against Pina for "breaching the duties of loyalty and diligence inherent to the position he held," calling it "the worst reproach that can be made to a corporate manager." Furthermore, he is accused of "systematically boycotting any initiative promoted by this entity" out of "personal revenge" against those who sought his dismissal.
“"We apologize for having led Cádiz CF to spend four seasons in the First Division. We apologize for having consolidated almost a decade of consecutive years in professional football. We apologize for having reinforced the club's credibility and institutional prestige, in a line diametrically opposed to your personal trajectory."
The statement continues with a series of ironic "apologies" directed at Pina, listing the club's achievements under the current leadership: four seasons in the First Division, nearly a decade in professional football, reinforced institutional credibility, progress in business projects, generation of investment, economic activity, and employment, and the club's continuous growth despite attempts to undermine its stability.
Finally, the club draws a clear distinction between its approach and Pina's: "The difference between us is simple: some dedicate their time to trying to destroy; we dedicate ours to building." It concludes by stating that "Cadiz fans are intelligent; Cadiz fans have memory" and that they know perfectly well "who has worked daily to enhance the Club and who has spent years trying to harm it," based on "incontrovertible facts."
