Dozens of volunteers participated this Sunday in a collective collection of these containers, highlighting a new and dangerous form of pollution in the area.
A recent report from the anti-drug prosecutor's office warned of the increase in drug trafficking in Andalusia. The operation carried out on the Guadalquivir river, which resulted in the collection of thousands of these canisters, is a clear example of this problem, affecting areas from Lebrija to Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
As an innovative initiative, several Sevillian entrepreneurs from the 'Ríogrande' project have built a 'bicipedal' using the material from these canisters. This vehicle covered kilometers of riverbank over the weekend.
