The incident occurred minutes after 4:30 PM, when several calls alerted the 1-1-2 Emergency Center about a head-on crash on the aforementioned road. Witnesses reported people trapped inside the vehicles, including a minor.
The severity of the accident prompted the Andalusian Emergency Agency to deploy a medical helicopter from the 061 Health Emergency Center. Civil Guard traffic officers, firefighters from the Provincial Council of Seville, and road maintenance personnel were involved at the scene.
Health services confirmed the deaths of two individuals at the scene of the collision. Authorities have kept the identities of the deceased confidential as investigations proceed.
In addition to the fatalities, three people were injured and transported to various hospitals in Seville. One victim was admitted to Virgen Macarena Hospital, another to Virgen del Rocío Hospital, and the injured minor remains under observation at the Children's Hospital.
