Under the slogan ‘Carnival against repression of the working class’, the event aims to transform carnival songs into a space for protest and collective commitment. The initiative seeks to raise funds for the resistance fund designated for workers affected by the metal labor conflict.
Organizers highlight the historical connection between Carnival and popular struggles, emphasizing its role as a tool for social denunciation. The gala will feature performances by groups such as ‘El Manicomio’, comparsa by El Jona; ‘DSA3’, comparsa by Bienvenido; ‘Los Amish del Mono’, chirigota by Peluca; ‘La Camorra’, comparsa by Marta Ortiz; ‘Los Humanos’, comparsa by Martínez Ares; ‘Que no vengan’, cuarteto by Gago; ‘Los Locos’, comparsa by El Tomate; ‘Los Julandrones’, chirigota by Airón; and ‘Los Hombres de Paco’, chirigota by El Tomate.
The evening, hosted by Soco López and Manolo Camacho, will blend humor, critique, and social commitment. The event is organized by Los Ángeles de los Homenajes and the Asociación Solidaria del Metal de Cádiz.
