The cultural activities kick off this Tuesday starting at 9:00 PM in the Plaza Mayor, where the Chiclana-based puppet company ‘Alehop’, led by Cristina Ciancas, will present the puppet show ‘Omar and the Magic Dragon’. The story narrates the adventure of a brave immigrant seeking a better life.
On Wednesday the 22nd, the Cadiz-born dancer Eduardo Guerrero will perform at 9:30 PM at the Teatro Moderno with his flamenco show ‘Faro’ (Lighthouse). Inspired by the poetic dimension of the ancient light towers that illuminate the coast, the work was created for a 2017 summer tour across several Spanish lighthouses. The production, directed and choreographed by Guerrero himself, blends various flamenco styles and song covers by artists like Joan Manuel Serrat and Horacio García, with vocals from Anabel Rivera and Manuel Soto.
On Thursday the 23rd, at 8:30 PM, the courtyard of the Museum of Chiclana will host the third installment of the ‘Letra & Música’ cycle, organized by the Fernando Quiñones Foundation. This time, the Sevillian composer, singer, and poet Paco Cifuentes will present ‘The Musician and the Poet’, fusing genres such as singer-songwriter, rock, folk, and poetry.
