This initiative aims to recognize the fundamental role of seniors in society, highlight their valuable contributions, and promote spaces for coexistence and intergenerational encounters. The program combines cultural, leisure, and physical activity events.
The Councilor for Social Welfare, Gema Lara, along with the director of the Santa Marta Day Center, Sonia Espejo, and the Head of Service for the Southern Delegation of Macrosad, Mari Ángeles Romero, presented the planned activities.
Gema Lara emphasized the importance of maintaining and reinforcing such initiatives, stating that seniors "have fought so hard for us in the past" and it is essential for current and future generations to share moments of coexistence and leisure with them.
The municipal official also highlighted the daily work of the Santa Marta Day Center and the commitment of Macrosad to its users and their families, who place their trust in this service.
The week will feature proposals aimed at fostering intergenerational relationships and an open house day for citizens to learn about the operation of the Day Center.
