The event, organized by the Equality Department, began with the reading of a manifesto by the councilor for Equality, Ana Matilde Expósito. Expósito emphasized the importance of recognizing the role of rural women and moving towards a more just and egalitarian society. "Recognizing and supporting rural women means strengthening our municipalities, advancing towards more balanced territorial development, and contributing, from the local level, to building fairer, more cohesive communities with greater opportunities for everyone," she stated.
Following the manifesto, attendees shared a breakfast of coexistence. Subsequently, a workshop was held, led by psychologist and sexologist Carmela Cobo Soto.
The program of activities will conclude on October 29 with the screening of the film La buena letra, directed by Celia Rico, in Hall B of the Municipal Theater.
