The Councilor for Employment, IMEFE, and Innovation, Luis García Millán, visited the space occupied by the Misión El Banco project at the second edition of the San Diego Comic-Con Málaga. The event, which brings together artists, video game creators, publishers, and companies linked to the world of comics and pop culture, is being held until October 4th at the Palace of Fairs and Congresses of Málaga.
García Millán emphasized the pride of Jaén being represented at this key event for fans of entertainment. He noted that the project's presence allows for showcasing "the video games being developed in our entrepreneurship center and the work of the creators and entrepreneurs participating in the program."
The Misión El Banco project, part of the Andalusian program Misión Andalucía in collaboration with IMEFE, features several playable demos at its space, allowing visitors to experience the projects firsthand. The councilor recommended a visit to discover the work being done.
According to García Millán, participation in this gathering also demonstrates the outcome of collaboration between public administrations such as IMEFE, the Junta de Andalucía, and the Spanish Government, creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and creators in the video game industry.
Esther Pina, head of the Misión El Banco Gaming program, highlighted the significant opportunity for participants to have their own space at an event of this scale, mentioning their stand's proximity to Nintendo.
The stand is equipped with four gaming stations where visitors can try out various projects featuring playable demos. Pina noted the high attendance and the direct interaction between visitors and developers, who are receiving valuable "feedback" on their creations.
The presence of Misión El Banco at the San Diego Comic-Con Málaga enables participating projects to reach beyond the local scope, showcase their creations to a specialized audience, and directly gather user feedback, thereby contributing to the visibility of talent and entrepreneurship in the video game sector in Jaén.
