The visit, made with mothers from the AMPA of the Alfonso Sancho School, served to explain the technical criteria followed in choosing materials and the design of the installation, and to discuss possible extensions.
Julio Millán highlighted that the renovation offers children a modern and safe space for outdoor play, emphasizing that such interventions are highly requested by children and families. The mayor assured that work continues in all neighborhoods to provide them with quality facilities.
For his part, the Councilor for Urban Maintenance, Javier Padorno, detailed that the work included the dismantling of the previous equipment and the installation of a new multi-game set with perimeter fencing and approved flooring.
Padorno explained that the choice of rubber flooring was not suitable for this area due to the presence of irrigation, opting instead for washed pebble flooring, approved for this type of children's play area and appropriate for a garden space with irrigation.
The councilor recalled that the intervention is part of the municipal maintenance and conservation contract with RESURJA, a company dependent on the Provincial Council of Jaén, which covers 74 children's play areas in the city and includes reviews and repairs.
