The young artists, in their 5th and 6th year of Primary Education, captured their experiences, memories, and ways of living the San Lucas Fair in their creations, showcasing their creativity and artistic sensitivity. The contest was held under the slogan 'Have you been to our San Lucas Fair '26? Draw it!', with prizes awarded based on the details, moments, and activities reflected in the students' work.
The awarded students are Alejandro Graus García (CEIP Agustín Serrano de Haro), Emma Cobo Lendínez (CEIP Antonio Prieto), Carmen García Castro (CEIP Gloria Fuertes), Sara Bouchal (CEIP Jesús-María), Ivette Anahí Barreno Díaz (CEIP Martín Noguera), Arij El Alaoui (CEIP Santo Domingo), Leticia Martos Esquinas (Guadalimar), Manuel Martínez Marchal (CEIP Andrés de Vandelvira), Eva Muñoz Ortega (Cristo Rey), Alonso Andrés Rumin (Divino Maestro school), Isabel Martínez Quesada (Marcelo Spínola school), Iñaki Gárate Bueno (Pedro Poveda school), Irene Sánchez Jerez (Santa María de la Capilla school), and Alejandra Olmo Montiel (Santa María de los Apóstoles school).
Eva Funes highlighted that the initiative aims to "reward the particular perspective each child has on their fair and also recognize their talent," thereby bringing the city's traditions closer to the younger generation through artistic expression and fostering their participation in Jaén's cultural life.
The councilor also emphasized the quality and originality of the submitted works, which allow us to discover the fair "through their eyes, with their colors, their special moments, and all those experiences that make each child live it in a unique way." She congratulated the participating students, teachers, and management teams for their involvement and collaboration, which are fundamental in stimulating the creativity and artistic interests of the schoolchildren.
