The Education Department of the City Council of Villa del Río has announced the official start of the 2026/2027 school year for students in nursery schools, Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education within the town.
On September 16th, Ms. Leticia Barragán, Councilor for Education, toured the various educational centers. At the «Poeta Molleja» Public School, accompanied by the management team, she inspected the facilities and the preparations made for the return to classrooms.
At the «Divina Pastora» school, a meeting was held to strengthen the collaboration between the council and the educational institution. Subsequently, at the IES «Ntra. Sra. de la Estrella», the new management team was introduced: Ms. Sara Cledera as Director, Ms. María Paz Martínez as Secretary, and Ms. Clara Santos as Head of Studies. The continuation of the socio-educational classroom was also confirmed.
The tour continued at the «Mimos» Early Childhood Education Center, where educators were consulted to understand their needs and reaffirm the municipal support for their projects. Similarly, at the «Pequilandia» Early Childhood Education Center, discussions were held with staff to inquire about the progress of the school year and to continue offering daily municipal support.
The council wishes all members of the educational community a successful start to the academic year.
