The exhibition 'A Desk Marked With Your Name,' held at the Sala Mirador in Capileira, has served as a meeting point for poetry, art, and memory, aiming to bring the reality and resilience of the Palestinian people closer to the public.
Through verses, symbolically charged stones, and works like 'The Pietà of Gaza,' the exhibition has championed the dignity, tenderness, and cultural resistance of Palestine in the face of devastation.
The exhibition, which was open from August 7 to September 18, has announced a special reopening for groups and for those who could not visit it. This event will take place on Saturday, September 26, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the same Sala Mirador in Capileira.
“"I will blow on Gaza's wounds and sing to it so it may sleep. I will cover its ears so it does not hear the roar of planes and missiles. I will put its children in the ark of my heart, close it, and bind them all with my umbilical cord. I will make Gaza sleep. I promise you. I promise you all. I am not crazy. I only dream."
The exhibition's title takes its name from this moving poem, emphasizing poetry's capacity to become a refuge, a vehicle for memory, and a tool of resistance, even amidst destruction.
