Construction work for a new roundabout on Sierra Alhamilla in Almería has led to significant changes in road traffic, which will last for approximately one month. The works, scheduled from Monday, July 27, to Friday, August 21, or until completion, involve closing the Sierra Alhamilla Road from the Cable Inglés roundabout.
This new infrastructure will connect Sierra Alhamilla with La Marina street, as well as the new street created between the two stations and the Carretera de Ronda, at the Glorieta Manuel Fraga Iribarne. According to the Almería City Council, Abogado de Oficio street, located between the Toblerone buildings and the rear of the Mediterráneo and Rafael Alberti schools, will be made two-way to facilitate access to local garages.
Additionally, the Almería City Council has announced another traffic closure planned for next week in the Oliveros neighborhood. Full asphalt paving work on carrera de los Picos, Soldado Español street, and Duque de Ahumada street will require traffic to be cut off and parking prohibited on these three streets from Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31.
