The competition, organized by EMD Alianza KSV with the collaboration of the Municipal Sports Board of the Almería City Council, turned the tatami into a meeting point for judokas of all ages and levels, from youth categories to the absolute category. The day was marked by competition, camaraderie, and the festive atmosphere typical of the Almería Fair.
The Ne Waza modality was particularly prominent, allowing competitors to showcase their technique, fighting ability, and competitive spirit in high-intensity bouts. The open and participatory nature of the tournament enabled younger judokas to share the day with more experienced athletes, and families to enjoy the activity.
The atmosphere at the venue was another strong point, with numerous family members and fans cheering on the participants, creating a magnificent ambiance around the tatami. The presence of Jonas Stanford, a German judoka, added a distinct international character to the competition.
The champions of this edition were: Jonas Stanford (absolute), Rubén Fernández (cadet), Darío Andrei (male infantil), Alba Saavedra (female infantil), Valentín Alemán (alevín), and Adrián Slavu (benjamín). These athletes demonstrated the hard work and values of judo.
The tournament fulfilled its objective of promoting judo, encouraging participation, and offering a competitive experience in an atmosphere of coexistence. With nearly fifty participants and significant public attendance, the event consolidates this activity as a relevant sporting event linked to the Almería Fair.
