The Plaza de Colón in Madrid hosted the draw for the First and Second Division calendars for the 2026-2027 season. The competition will kick off on the weekend of August 15-16, following an arbitration ruling favorable to LaLiga and the Spanish Footballers Association (AFE). AFE's proposal to start on August 23, due to the proximity of the World Cup, was dismissed.
LaLiga Hypermotion will conclude on Sunday, June 6, with the 42nd matchday. The promotion play-offs will take place between June 9 and June 20. No midweek fixtures are planned for the regular season, unless unavoidable circumstances arise.
UD Almería will debut at home against CD Eldense and will also close the season at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos against Real Mallorca.
The regional derbies will be played as follows: the visit to Córdoba will be on September 13, to Granada on January 3, and to Cádiz on February 28. The visiting teams will arrive at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos on January 24 (Córdoba), January 3 (Granada), and September 6 (Cádiz).
The tournament is characterized by its high level of equality, and UDA will seek its third promotion attempt in a competition that will last nearly ten months.
