Health assistance was the primary reason for calls, accounting for 16,917 cases. This was followed by citizen security incidents with 6,977, traffic incidents with 3,670, and road accidents with 2,680. Other recurring causes included animal-related emergencies (2,243), fires (1,681), basic service anomalies (879), social service requests (452), and rescue and salvage alerts (375).
In the Andalusian context, Almería ranks as the fifth province with the highest volume of managed incidents. Seville leads the list with 114,546, followed by Málaga (98,714), Cádiz (58,487), and Granada (55,768). Córdoba (35,003), Jaén (30,344), and Huelva recorded fewer alerts.
The busiest time frame for the 112 call centers was between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM, with an average of 149 incidents managed per hour. June was the month with the highest number of alerts in Almería, reaching 7,400 coordinated emergencies.
The 112 service, operational throughout Europe, is free and multilingual, offering health, fire fighting, citizen security, and civil protection assistance. It operates 24 hours a day and provides access to all necessary help in any emergency.
Additionally, it features an Advanced Mobile Location (AML) system to provide the caller's exact coordinates. The service accommodates users in English, French, German, Arabic, and Ukrainian, in addition to Spanish, ensuring coverage regardless of the caller's origin or language.
