The Almería Fair has designed a special program to ensure all children can enjoy the festivities in honor of the Virgen del Mar. From August 22nd to 29th, various activities will be held both in the city center and at the Recinto Ferial, with a renewed focus on inclusion.
For children with auditory and visual hypersensitivity, specific days have been scheduled. On Monday the 24th, Tuesday the 25th, and Wednesday the 26th of August, from opening until 10:00 PM, and on Thursday the 27th and Friday the 28th, until 9:00 PM, the attractions at the Recinto Ferial will operate without noise and with fixed lights. This measure aims to reduce stimuli for three hours, facilitating enjoyment of the attractions for individuals for whom the usual operation can be challenging.
“"People with disabilities and their companions will have preferential access, without queues, and companions over 18 years of age will be able to enter for free when accompanying a person with a disability."
Furthermore, a significant novelty regarding access to attractions is being implemented: people with disabilities and their companions will enjoy preferential access, avoiding queues. Companions over 18 years of age will be able to enter for free if they accompany a person with a disability.
As an additional initiative, on Tuesday, August 25th, the Caseta Municipal will host the 'La Feria a tu ritmo' (The Fair at Your Pace) activity between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. This activity, aimed at associations from the Espacio Alma, will require an invitation and adds to the efforts to open the festivities to audiences with different needs.
