The event, organized by Turespaña and Aena, took place on April 28 and 29 in Reus (Tarragona) and brought together over 90 destinations and 12 airlines. The Almerian delegation held strategic meetings to consolidate the presence of companies already operating at Almería airport, seeking to extend seasons and frequencies, as well as explore new opportunities to incorporate unprecedented routes.

As a result of these promotional efforts, Almería will feature 25 routes to 11 countries, operated by 12 airlines, for the upcoming summer. New national connections, such as Santander, and international ones, like Liverpool, are among the highlights. Furthermore, the extension of seasons by companies such as Jet2 is being consolidated, with operations throughout April 2026.

Other airlines like Binter (with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), Transavia (with Rotterdam), Ryanair (with Brussels), and Smartwings (with Prague) are repeating their operations. Frequencies are also increasing, as in the case of Vueling with Barcelona, which will go from 4-5 weekly flights to between 8 and 9 during the summer season. The offering is complemented by a program of charter flights from countries such as Slovakia, Poland, Iceland, Hungary, and Portugal.

The conference highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration for the competitiveness of the tourism sector, bringing together institutional representatives, destinations, airlines, and technology companies. Organizations such as IATA, ALA, and Amadeus, along with manufacturers like Airbus and airlines such as IAG, Vueling, Iberia, Jet2, Volotea, and Binter, were present.

Since its creation in 2022, this forum has consolidated itself as a strategic tool for the development of new routes, facilitating the connection between supply and demand and improving tourism competitiveness. The reinforcement of international air connectivity is a strategic priority due to its impact on tourism, territorial cohesion, and the development of emerging destinations.
