The city of Almería will host five concerts during August at the emblematic Cable Inglés, offering a live music experience at sunset.

The initiative, driven by Clasijazz with support from the Almería City Council and the Port Authority of Almería, aims to enhance the experience of enjoying the sunset with live music. Following the success of previous programs, this edition focuses on the Cable Inglés, a historic site now serving as a venue.
The program for the II Sunset Concerts will continue in August with five notable performances. On Saturday, August 6, Big Bandarax will perform, with tickets already sold out. This will be followed on Thursday, August 13, by Víctor Guirado and Banda Nómada; on Friday, August 21, by Albert Sanz Trío & Antonio Serrano; on Sunday, August 23, by the Super Funk Clasijazz Band; and on August 27, closing the series, José Luis Jaén & Mar Tiago Sextet.
Tickets for these concerts are priced at 5 euros and can be purchased through the platform Clasijazz | Entradas. The Culture Department of the Almería City Council, along with Cajamar, actively collaborates in this event.
The Councilor for Culture, Diego Cruz, highlighted the diversity of musical activities in Almería during the summer, mentioning venues such as the Cable Inglés, El Toyo, and the Plaza de Toros, in addition to events like Cooltural Fest. He emphasized that these initiatives successfully merge music with the local environment, receiving a great response from the public.
Big Bandarax, directed by José Carlos Hernández and formed in 2015, will present a repertoire that has solidified its presence on the national and international jazz scene. The group has performed at festivals such as ‘Portón del Jazz’, the ‘Riverboat Jazz Festival’ in Denmark, ‘Jazz Andaluz’, ‘Almerijazz’, and ‘Naranjazz’. The project has had support from Clasijazz since its inception and has been recognized in events like the National Congress of Musical Education ‘Con Euterpe’ in Logroño and the International Competition for Young Jazz Musicians in Talavera de la Reina.
